Gorgeous melancholic pop songs and SHIVER’s preference for the big-time moments in pop music are to be found at the heart of the HIBERNATION album. Finely polished texts with a reflective tinge and varying instrumentation round off this sophisticated production.
HIBERNATION is produced as an elegiac electro pop album, based on a powerful foundation of beats and basses and interfused with rhythmical trailing elements and epic melodies such as “Dreamwalker”, “No sound in the air” and the preliminary single “Moving light”. On the other hand there are extremely minimalist songs like “The day I lost myself”, or the almost classical ballad “Safe, ” as well as the song “Trace on my heart”, accompanied by industrial drums. HIBERNATION is rounded off by SHIVER’s gentle interpretation of Nelly Furtado’s song, “Try”.
